Dave, I use a Garmin 64st and have for years. I choose that unit at the time because of the ability to load a micro-SD card and have every topo map in the USA in my hands. Little bit of a learning curve but not something that you would have to be a techno-geek to figure out. I am sure that there have been a few others come out since I bought mine but for me, it is a workhorse that has thousands of tags, tracks and info all loaded in. There is also a way to make life easier in the long run, GPA programs like easy GPS which is a free program that allows you to simple upload or download to and from your GPS. I like this program and have recommended it many times over for the ease of use and that you can take every GPAA claim in the mining guide, enter them into the program named and corners tagged and upload to your GPS. Just my .02cents worth I am betting others may have some opinions on some newer GPS units that may be easier to use, more on-board memory and larger screens. I’ll just run with what I have until it dies and I have to get another unit.
