I am considering upgrading my gpaa to ldma membership and plan on prospecting in northern calif. Is there enough gold at the ldma camp at italian bar to make it worth the membership upgrade?

Lost Dutchman's Mining Association. (LDMA) and GPAA are closely tied.

I recently became a lifer because my future plans are to explore and live for the majority of the year in my RV and it makes sense to be able to stay at many of the places and truly learn from locals and enjoy the comfort of staying on a spot without setting up and take travel back and forth...STAY AND PLAY
I did have the pleasure of visiting Italian Bar , it is very nice and is getting a lot of cleaning and upgrades. I would recommend if you are bringing a camper trailer you follow the long route on the GPS even though the hosts say it is safe I think for me I'll take the long route
    GOOD LUCK

In my understanding you cannot visit an LDMA site for the day unless you also have the lifetime membership? Is that correct?

looked through the book and could not find any information on visiting a LDMA camp so I called and talked to members services.
You can visit for the day and pay for a day pass if applicable and they said you could even camp there up to 14 days , that part sounds a bit strange but it is what I was told. Hope that helps

Couple questions...... Is LMDA transferable? I see postings for them for sale, and if so, is there a fee to do so?

Once an LDMA member, is there a fee to camp or prospect (other than special events)?

Is there a listing of the LDMA properties so I can see how many and where?

    Appreciate your help!

I asked almost the same question... It seemed like you could camp for 14 days with a reservation and pay nightly fees... not like BLM land or boondocking on claims where you can camp for 14 days before you have to move. Understandable that there are fees at a developed camp,
because the infrastructure needs to be built and maintained. Not sure what the rates are though.

Of course I could be completely wrong in the way I interpreted the email I received too, so don't take anything I say as gospel.
