Today I went out to the Maricopa group claims detecting. I ended up having a dead battery when I was getting ready to go. I was on the AzAu2 claim and barely any cell phone reception. I was able to call Bill Southern and he made sure that the right people knew my predicament. I started getting calls from other gpaa members asking where I was. I finally was able to get out of the claims with the help of Randy Brite. He knew exactly where I was and rescued me. I'm glad my wife and I joined such an amazing prospecting
club. My thanks to the entire gpaa community for looking out for one of their own. I really appreciate it.

Newer iPhones have free satellite texting! This works anywhere on the planet also, no cell reception required and you currently don’t need a subscription for the service either but you do have to have a cellular account. May be worth looking into if you don’t have a satellite communications device like an InReach or Spot.

Robert, Thanks for the heads up on notifying people. I'm in Kansas but will be in Wickenburg April 1- 5 to prospect the Maricopa areas. I'll be in a Toyota Tundra smokey grey colored. Cheers..........

Ok. What method or methods are you going to try? Detecting, the claim vulture bait is good for that. Pay attention to weather near Morristown, Wickenburg area. Don't want to get stuck out there. And if planning on drywasher you'll need dry ground for that method.
