I want to prospect up in georgia and north carolina at all the gpaa and ldma sites and explore other federal land ect.. I was planning a 3-4 day camping trip up to loud mine or Buchanan over Christmas weekend but my cat got sick and my wife needs to stay home.. I really don't feel like driving 8hrs by myself and camping and mining by myself, I know it's last minute but I figured I would ask, ya never know..lol. I have a 10" highbanker a separate 10"×36" sluice box all the little tools, buckets, bins crevasse tools ect. But no mining partner 😢 I'm also I. The process of building a 3" dredge.. So hit me up of your interested in Christmas weekend or any other time after. Preferably a partner that's in reasonable shape for all the hiking and digging.. I live in Orlando. Let's do this!!!

Lawrence I would add Alabama claims to that list . Not the gold camp but the newer claims east central . The Lee county claim and the Elmore county claim are in the heart of the gold belt of Alabama and not unusual to find nice nugget and plenty of flake gold. I have been prospecting those areas for over 40 years . I live in Birmingham and have spent alot of time traversing Ga and the Carolinas over the years. I work in Denver and have multiple mining areas to frequent with 10 miles of our condo there but have always found more and bigger gold in Al and GA and SC . couple national forest lands are good ground as well . Just got in from denver last week for the Holidays my primary home here in Birmingham . Don't know if I will have any time during January before I head back but glad to share what I know bout the areas you have mentioned as well as what to expect condition and techniques for the specific areas. Let me know your projected schedule I might be able to meet you at one of the sites for a days dig . Al sites and Buchanan are all within 2 hrs drive from my home .

Hey James Where do you live? Yea I’m new to the hobby but but the gold bug hit me hard. I’m ready to go whenever wherever I also work during the week but the weekends or even a 3 or 4 day weekend to get the most out of me having to drive up 8 hrs would be best. Where Have you been prospecting?

Hey Im interested in some areas as well not in mining guide , if any one still attached tothis post please let me know , 256-758-8628, Text me would be best , I have a map i found threw USGS and LMB and one other someone used both and created for gold mines and areas in usa. Plenty of dots threw alabama and the links take to info that would have to chase down calling county for who owns and what not , also looking for camp friendly areas or camp close by and access . ITs just me so partner would be nice especially a seasoned info of locations to dig around
