Hey Guys I need some help here. I have built a 3.5' x 7.5' gold concentrating shaker table similar in design to the MBMM design and I have it working well. The one area that I am finding challenging is building an automatic ore feeder for the table. I feel that the table should be capable of processing about one ton an hour. I have a good selection of metal fabrication/ machining equipment for a build but I believe in the KISS principle in anything I build.
I would have included a picture but I couldn't figure out how to include it.

Thanks in advance for any help,

    Welcome Bob,

I have seen a simple piece of sheet metal broke into a V , may have to play with length and angle, drip some water above the cons, let em drip to location of your choice.
Not sure what the high production people use.

    Thanks Bill,
I'm sure I'll be using some variation of that concept in my final design! Now thinking a little further up the line on this I want/need to meter the ore onto that sheet and deal with 5 gallon buckets worth of ore at a time, maybe some sort of feed screw arrangement?
    Thanks again!

    Bob,

Look around see if you can find an old pellet stove, many of them had a screw feeder.
If you can find one with a potentiometer to adjust the speed of feed your...golden LOL

    Wow Bill thanks again!
I will definitely be looking into that, sounds like a great idea and being able to vary the feed speed is a must!

    Thanks Bill!
