Just curious of what clean up sluice people prefer. Yes I understand & know everyone has there options, but would like to hear true justifications, love or hate. I currently have a Miller table, blue bowl and keene miracle mat sluice, but have since started eyeing a 4 tray gold cube with dream mat, micro/ mini & D mat. I’ve got more stream sluices than 1) man should own, (I.e. sluice with Talon Gold Hog, another with Yukon Gold Hog, sluice with Dream Mat, Keene A52, so on & so on).
Any insight & why you like whatever you use to process your cons is appreciated. (Not that I really need more or different equipment)

    Welcome Benjamin,

I keep my clean up simple,
cons come home, run through my Tom and Perrys rain gutter sluice without what ever mat came with,
I do recirculate my water. I gather my materials and sluice in the river so I dont have a clouding or silting issue
I use a poop tube about 24" long, first cut, pick out what you can
Switch out the poop tube with deep V groove mat, slow water way down, second cut, pick out
Sieve down to 30 mesh, blue bowl maybe twice, watch the water flow
After that it's the kids to play with, or if nothing else to do rerun over the deep V, or other means
I think I have three river sluices, one small 8" wide n two 11" wide, different riffles config

Thanks Bill, been an official member for a year and finally decided to make a post.
Yeah currently I bring con’s home and process with recirc Miracle Matt sluice & Blue bowl. Seems like I have an addiction for the latest wiz bang product for minimizing cons.
Would love to hear others & what they are using/ setups.

    Hi Ben,

i too own a miller table, spiral wheel, multiple sluices I owned a blue bowl, and more gear than a guy needs.

I most recently have purchased the Prospectors Dream Adventure Sluice with Header Box. 50.00.
I bought a tote for 20.00 at lowes
    a 600gph bilge pump on Amazon 15.00
    a fitting or 2 - 4.99 for 1 and 7.99 for the other
a bilge hose for the pump and the set up is FIRE!! it has been the best concentrator I have owned. It catches the finest gold, is quiet to run, dream mat is the best gold catching mat in the world if you have not tried it you should, it is light weight and I use it in the field with 10 gallons of water to run my dry washer cons minutes from emptying my box out. I can tell in 5 min or less with no fatigue of panning or bending over if i am on the gold or not. Clean ups are a breeze. this unit will save you time, money, and your back!!! lol.

here is the link to my concentrator video
    https://youtu.be/GmAmfiy4coc

be sure to read the description as all the parts are listed there on how to put it together. Good luck!

i have the Gold Cube a 5 stack with deep v matting on top, saw tooth matting next then Micro mat, Cape D mat, and Mini mat on the bottom, with a bucket flare at the end of the cube going into a Royal mini 24" sluice for my home wash plant and the concentrator used after the cube run will bring your cons down from about 3 cups from the cube to about 3 tablespoons.

    https://youtu.be/MmrQMgPBL8E

i put a bucket at the end of the adventure sluice in the tub ( 1gallon bucket) to catch the cons and i re run them as uber fine flat pieces will get over any mat time to time.

hope this helps and IF you get this unit i am sure you will be singing the praises also - now go get the GOLD!!!!! Cheers! Don

Awesome Don… thanks for the reply. I’ve actually watched those videos prior to even posting. Yep think I’m going to take the dive into a Gold Cube with Dream Mat and make a similar wash plant to yours. More equipment, guess you can’t have enough right (silently telling myself). I’ve even recently started to think about building (or attempting) a DIY 2’x4’ shaker table.. guess we’ll see
