I have been looking around for a while and I can't find a 110v option for a submersible for the gold cube. In theory I can just go to harbor freight or something and get an 1100 gph pump right? Any tips would be appreciated.

don't worry too much about matching the 1100 gph like on the Gold Cube 12v pump. I went to Harbor Freight and bought a submersible 110v pump and I believe was somewhere around 1600gph? It works excellent. no excuses the Cube can handle more water volume. When i run the trommel option or run in the field i use a 2000gph 12v Bilge pump from Amazon - 39.99 for the generic brand and works perfectly.
I just looked up the pump at Harbor Frieght is 1/6hp Submersible Utility Pump 1600gph is listed online for 64.99. you will not be disappointed. you may need a barbed fitting as i had to get. I went to the Tropical fish store across from my Harbor Freight and they had a fitting with the correct nipple to fit the hose. Just ask at the counter as the parts they have are usually behind the counter and you have to ask for them. Amazon has them too for about 7.99 - best of luck.

As long as you find a 110v pump between 12 and 25 GPM (per minute) or 750 and 1500 GPH you are good. An easy way to not run out of battery in the garage is just hook it up to batter hooked to the charger. That way there is nothing more to buy. We now have the barbed fitting on our web site in both the 3/4" pipe and 1" pipe thread to 1-1/8" barbed fitting. https://goldcube.net/product/barbed-fitting-3-4-x-1-1-8/

    Jordan,

I have changed all the OEM mats from the Cube I have to all Dream Mat and 1 Saw Tooth matting. Mine can handle a lot more water volume so if you have the OEM mats that came with your cube......please read Mike Pung response as he is giving you the best information on those mats. good luck. you can never go wrong with the Gold Cube. It's my favorite for sure. I just got the trommel and I wish I would have bought it years ago. what a game changer. copy and paste this link into you tube

Well, thank you both for the wealth of information it is truly appreciated. I will definitely be looking into a new submersible, I like the idea of having 12 volt but for in the garage it's definitely more convenient to plug a 110 in and go.
I also have the trommel and I agree it is amazing. What does your recycling system look like and how much material are you able to run?
Would you guys recommend a higher flow if using the trommel as well?
With regards to the mats, I have been looking at them for a while now but haven't pulled the trigger yet.
Overall I'm a big fan of the gold cube so great work there Mike!

Yes, you can and should use more waterflow with the trommel. Mike and the team at Gold Cube recommend a 2000 gph pump. My first two 2000 GPH pumps didn't last long so I switched to a different brand which happens to be 2200 GPH and seems to work great with the Banker or Trommel on top of my cube.
