    Hi All,
As I thought about my equipment more, I was wondering what other folks are doing for knee pads. Cheap or Pricey? I have been using cheap ones, $7, from WalMart, "hyper tough" and with their one velcro strap they are not the most comfortable ones I have ever worn, but I won't cry too much if one of them disappears when I'm hiking around. That being said, if someone had a pair that they just love, I would like to hear about them.

What is your preference and are they worth the money?

Thanks for playing and luck to you when prospecting.

    Hi Sean.
I too would like to know. Ive used all kinds
Last pair being a gel pad. I loved it, but the velco straps would hurt the back of my legs while bending to use my gold pan.
Hope you don't mind my comment. But I too would like to know if theres something out there thats easy on the knees and straps wont slip and slide or?
    Thank you
    Jo-Lynn
    Other pads would slide down.

I find the best are sold at Home Depot or Lowes. Prices vary according to quality and use.

The ones I use I got from Menards, a place like Lowes. They are the store brand and priced in the mid-range of all of them. But they are called turf, outdoor kneepads. they have a clear waffle pattern for non-slip in ruff terrane, and have elastic straps with a plastic snap. I always wear blue jeans when detecting, so they don't slip down.

I too have a lot of problems with knee pads and I get rocks between the pad and my knee so I've kind of quit even getting any I've been using a throw rug that I fold over and just put it on the ground to kneel them but the other day I don't remember where I was at but I bought the bottoms to the football uniform it has knee pads in it and I'm going to wear my jeans over that to help protect it hoping that it might work really good you just never know I hope this helps
