Hello all ! Me and my wife are planning a 4 day prospecting / dredging trip to Corn house creek, probably May 1st or the last week in April ! I have a few questions from any members that have prospected the property already . I plan on high banking at first to get a hole started, then I plan on dredging in the hole until I hit bedrock ! How deep is bedrock ? Is there good gold in the creek and how far down is it on average ? How much gold can I expect to find on average for a 3 or 4 day period, dredging day, 6 hours a day ? Camping on the site or at Gold Camp I can't make up my mind to camp at the cornhouse creek claim or the Alabama gold camp ! I will be leaving my dredge in the creek and all my equipment on a small trailer close to the creek. Will my equipment be safe if I leave it there and camp at the gold camp or should I stay at the property with my dredge and equipment ? We will be primitive camping ! Trespassers on property Is there or has there been any trouble with people coming on the property and drinking and doing drugs and partying , and damaging people's prospecting equipment ? I am a Marine Corps veteran and a Retired Game warden and have no trouble dealing with these kind of people if necessary ,!! Is it ok to bring my service dog, which is a trained German Shepard police dog . If there is nobody using the property but me and my wife, can my dog run loose ? She will stay by my side or as close as she can Thanks
