The Stage is set for SWING DANCING In The DIRT!
Dominic Ricci – GPAA/LDMA Executive Director of Operations
Have you ever danced in the dirt before? Are you unsure that your partner will be there in tune with your every move?
Relax, breath, and get your partner ready. If you are going to dance in the dirt, you need get synced, and set you rhythm, and get ready to turn up on the stage.
Foot placement is crucial as your movements gracefully move this way and that way. Swing to the left, swing to the right, listening for the applause to erupt.
Your ears ringing with excitement, but focusing on the right time.
At that precise moment, you dip your partner down low to the ground, look deep (not really) into the dirt, and uncover a beautiful target?
WHAT?
Many have auditioned over the years, but now the Gold Prospectors Association of America (GPAA) and the Lost Dutchman’s Mining Association (LDMA) present “Dancing with the Dirt!”
It’s 2018 and the GPAA-LDMA has added 6 dates to its Events calendar where you can Swing Dance, for cash, cache, gold and prizes.
Select LDMA camps will host the 2018 Open Detector Hunts: Kids to Pros. Yes, these are open for anyone to register and participate in.
What can I expect at a GPAA-LDMA Open Detector Hunt?
Participants of the hunts will swing their detectors in the search of hunting for all types of coins, silver, tokens and more. All participants will receive an extra “goodie or two” just for joining the treasure festivities.
You may just swagger away a new metal detector, gold, detector accessories, or a rusted out tin can....(which may have a secrete prize to later be revealed in true Dominic fashion!).
It is more than just Swinging a Detector. . . . you will meet people from all over the country, that love the thrill of what they can unearth when they hear mineral tones fill their headphones. This will be a good time for all … even the kids too!
There will be Multiple Hunts throughout the day. . . There are hunts for everybody … brand new to detecting, the pro, and even kids will have their own Hunts for treasures.
Minelab has come forward with sponsoring the Kids Learning Center. They are making available for use a handful of GoFind detectors. Kids can play in an area and find targets.
Who Can Participate? The National Hunts are OPEN to all with the following fee structure per participant:
Main Hunts (Fee includes both!) . . . . .$50
Diggers Nugget Hunt (optional) . . . . .$25*
*MUST be registered in Main Hunts to Qualify!
