About Us
Hi there Prospectors,
After working for 45 years for a major company, I have retired, opened a Prospecting Shop in Northern Wisconsin and am now living the dream.
I grew up in the State of Jefferson "California", loving the outdoors and appreciating prospecting.
I have been prospecting for about twenty years and been involved with education about prospecting to the public. I helped found a prospecting club and was part of it's leadership for many years.
I opened a prospecting shop that includes metal detectors, gem mining, gold panning, cracking geodes and a Rock Shop.
I am conveniently located next door to my wife's shop that sells cabin decor, gifts, antiques, vintage, and new items.
Right now my product lines include Jobe, Fisher and Garrett Metal Detectors. I will take on some other product lines if the future warrants.
Stop by for a visit. Call first because my hours here will change as quickly as the November weather in the North Country.

Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon. The store is very nice, everything you could want for prospecting and/or rock hunting. I've been in a bunch of prospecting stores around the country and Pike River Prospecting is right up there in terms of products and selection. The owner was very nice and knowledgeable. If you find yourself in NE Wisconsin, I highly recommend a stop at Pike River Prospecting!
