About Us
Packwood Prospecting offers everything from a basic pan or sluice to dredges and dive gear. Pan some real gold, try out a demo metal detector, and learn about local claims and organizations. We demonstrate much of our equipment, welcome the questions of curious newbies, and love to hear the stories of dedicated old-timers. In town with the family? Check out our excavation and mineral science kits for kids and show them how to pan in our troughs with real Bering Sea Gold (and pretty rocks)! We also have a small selection of gold nuggets and silver coins.
